Designed for riders seeking a meaningful Java Neo upgrade, the MC Pantani wheelset combines a full-carbon trispoke structure, unique marble-style surface finish and Java Neo-specific hub configuration in one complete front-and-rear package.

Approximately 1,015 g for the 16-inch pair and 1,240 g for the 20-inch pair.

A Distinctive Sound While Coasting

The rear wheel uses a Shimano HG freehub with a 36-tooth ratchet system, producing the pronounced high-frequency freehub sound preferred by riders who enjoy a more mechanical riding character.

It supports compatible 7- to 12-speed cassette setups, allowing the original Java Neo cassette to be transferred during installation.

Drivetrain Port-Over Included

Installation includes transferring the existing cassette, followed by the necessary brake alignment and gear adjustment.

Up To 2.0-Inch Tyres

Compatible With Billy Bonkers Setups

The clincher rim supports compatible tyres up to 2.0 inches wide, including popular Java Neo Billy Bonkers configurations.

During installation, your existing tyres and inner tubes can be transferred to the MC Pantani wheelset.

Sold As A Complete Pair

The MC Pantani wheelset is sold strictly as one complete front-and-rear set. Individual front or rear wheels are not offered separately.

Important: New Brake Rotors Are Required

The original Java Neo 6-bolt brake rotors cannot be installed on this wheelset. A new pair of compatible 140 mm centre-lock rotors is required.

Centre-lock rotors are charged separately and are not included with the wheelset.

The MC Pantani wheelset is covered by a six-month warranty against manufacturing defects.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover crash damage, impact damage, misuse, accidental damage, unauthorised modification, normal wear or faults caused by incorrect self-installation.

Java Neo Carbon Wheelset FAQ

Is the MC Pantani wheelset compatible with every Java Neo?

It is compatible with supported Java Neo aluminium, Java Neo full-carbon and Java J-Air models in matching 16-inch or 20-inch configurations. It is not compatible with the Java Neo 3 ECO.

Can I purchase only the front or rear wheel?

No. The MC Pantani wheelset is sold strictly as a complete front-and-rear pair.

Can my original cassette be reused?

Yes. The Shimano HG freehub supports compatible 7- to 12-speed cassette setups, and your existing Java Neo cassette will be transferred during installation.

Can the original Java Neo brake rotors be reused?

No. The original 6-bolt rotors are not compatible. A new pair of 140 mm centre-lock rotors is required and sold separately.

Are installation and adjustment included?

Yes. The wheelset price includes installation, transfer of the existing cassette, tyres, tubes and original axles, installation of separately purchased centre-lock rotors, brake alignment and gear adjustment.

Can I use Billy Bonkers tyres?

Yes. The clincher wheelset supports compatible tyres up to 2.0 inches wide, including suitable Billy Bonkers configurations.

Is the freehub loud?

Yes. The 36T ratchet freehub is intentionally designed with a pronounced, high-frequency coasting sound.

Does the carbon pattern look identical on every wheel?

No. The matte marble-style cosmetic surface naturally varies, giving each wheelset a slightly different visible carbon pattern.

Can bicycle pickup and delivery be arranged?

Yes. The Bike Atrium can arrange bicycle pickup and return delivery at an additional charge. Contact us for the applicable transport price.
